Ebooks
What will I receive when I purchase one of your ebooks?
Once you purchase an ebook or bundle, you will receive an email with a link to download the ebook/s (please see below if you’ve already purchased the ebook and haven’t received a download link).
The ebooks are a standard PDF file which can be opened on most devices. You will need a reliable and consistent internet connection to download the file initially.
What do I do once I’ve received the download link?
Press the download link once and wait a few minutes for the link to open – many models of iPads and iPhones show no signs of loading (but try to be patient, as long as your internet doesn’t drop out, it will load in a few minutes).
Once you have downloaded it, you need to save it to your device/s (or even dropbox or the cloud if you have it). That way you can access it like any other PDF document – indefinitely with no internet connection required and saving it to a cloud based server means you won’t use any storage space.
If saving to your device (phone, laptop, tablet, desktop), you’ll need the following storage space available – ‘Rise and Shine’ requires 10.2MB. ‘The Well Nourished Lunchbox’ requires 17.9MB. ‘Sides and Salads’ requires 14.5MB.
Please note that you have 8 attempts and 90 days to download the file, after which your download will be deactivated. This is standard ebook distribution protocol to protect the copyright and illegal distribution of the product.
Should you have issues with downloading the file and use your 8 attempts, please do not hesitate to contact us via the contact form so we can help you out and re-issue the link if need be.
We understand that tech doesn’t always behave and that saved links can be lost from devices, so we are always happy to help at any stage after purchase.
I didn’t receive my download link via email. Can you help?
Gmail users – Check your ‘promotions’ tab and drag the email across to your primary folder – click ‘Yes’ to do this for all emails from us.
Still can’t find it? Very occasionally, some mail inboxes do reject automated emails with large files attached altogether, but if you email us via the contact form,we will get back to you within 24 hours (Monday to Friday) to retrieve and manually send the lost link.
Please DON’T message us on Facebook or Instagram as we may miss it (we manage an audience of over a 100K across various accounts so it’s easy to overlook messages on social media). We also can’t track ebook purchase links via social media. So email is the best way to receive a prompt and accurate response.
What devices can I use to read my ebook?
Your ebook can be read on most devices – iPad, smartphones, tablets, and your laptop or desktop computer. All you need is an application that can open or preview PDF files such as the iBooks app (standard and installed on your Apple devices), Adobe PDF reader, Preview, Kindle app and more (all free applications which are easy to install).
How do I add the eBook to my iBooks app?
If you have an Apple device with the iBooks app, newer devices will automatically save the PDF ebook to iBooks (or prompt you to save to selected folders or apps) or give you an option to ‘Open in iBooks’. It will save under ‘Collections’ under the drop down tab ‘PDFs’ or ‘All’. Note, it does NOT save under ‘Books.’
How do I add the eBook to my laptop or desktop?
Each device is different. Generally, you will be prompted to save it to where you’d like to file it on your hard drive. Some Apple devices automatically save it in the ‘Downloads’ folder.
Can I print out a copy of the ebook?
This is to halve the number of pages in total (so the lunchbox ebook goes from 150 pages to 75 with it formatted this way). It’s also a nice way to read the recipe with the image at its side. The cover, however will print on one A4 page portrait.
Before you start printing, please check your ‘print preview’ to see that your printer has formatted it this way and perhaps test one page so to not waste paper/ink.
Can I purchase an ebook as a gift?
Can I bulk purchase for corporate gifts or fundraisers?
Can I save to multiple devices?
We think cloud hosted servers like Dropbox are a fabulous place to save the ebooks as they won’t be lost if you loose your phone/ device or if an upgrade accidentally erases them. Plus it is one place you can save it to and then access it on all of you devices (phone, iPad, laptop, desktop etc;) without using storage space.
I’ve lost my download. Can you replace it?
