Middle Eastern Lamb Chops
These Middle Eastern Lamb Chops are just so delicious and bursting with aromatic flavour. Perfect for your next BBQ or weeknight dinner, the spice rub and lemon marinade work beautifully with the richness of the lamb – it’s well worth the 5 minutes prep to make the marinade.
Health benefits
Lamb is a great source of iron, zinc and protein, which supports energy levels and muscle repair. The anti-inflammatory spices – like cumin, turmeric and paprika support immune health and digestion. Lemon juice helps tenderise the meat and adds a hit of vitamin C to help with iron absorption.
Ingredients
You’ll need lamb loin chops and a mix of garlic, ground cumin, coriander, sweet and smoked paprika, turmeric, lemon juice and olive oil. This easy marinade brings classic Middle Eastern flavours to life with minimal preparation.
How to make Middle Eastern Lamb Chops
In a large bowl, combine the garlic, spices, lemon juice, olive oil, sea salt and pepper. Add the lamb chops and massage the marinade in so they’re well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight if possible. When you’re ready to cook, fire up a BBQ grill or hot pan and cook the lamb until browned and caramelised on the outside and juicy inside.
Serving suggestions and how to store
Serve your lamb chops hot off the grill with lemon or lime wedges and your favourite sides—think this Buckwheat salad, grilled veggies or a simple green salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
