These Middle Eastern Lamb Chops are marinated in warming spices, garlic & lemon for a delicious dinner that’s quick to cook & hard to beat.

Ingredients

  • 3 clove/s garlic - minced
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp ground turmeric
  • Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 lemon/s - juice
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 8-10 lamb loin chops

To Serve

  • 1 lemon/s - or lime/s, sliced into wedges

Instructions

  • In a large bowl or container mix all the spices, seasoning, lemon juice and olive oil.
  • Mix through the lamb chops so they are well coated by the spice mix.
  • Allow to marinate covered or in an airtight container in the fridge for 2 hours or preferably overnight (or just as long as you can manage).
  • Heat a BBQ grill over a high heat. Cook the lamb chops until browned and caramelised.

Serve

  • With lemon or lime wedges.
  • With your favourite salad or veggies sides.

Make Ahead

  • You can marinade the lamb chops for up to 24 hours. These are best cooked fresh and served, but if you need to cook ahead, then reheat the chops in a low oven until hot.

Store

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.

Notes

Garlic-free

For a garlic-free option, replace the garlic with garlic-infused olive oil if tolerated.

Cutlets or chicken

You can swap lamb loin chops for French lamb cutlets or even chicken thighs if you prefer.
